This July 28th mark your calendars for the annual Black Foot River Clean up.
The Challenge is OUT! Fishing guides, Whitewater guides, Outdoor shops and everyone else who has ever spend a day on a river and accidentally dropped something that promptly sunk to the bottom.
We have all done it, now is your chance for some good Karma. Thousands of cans of Beer and Pop, Hundreds of sunglasses and towels, Flips and nasty wet shoes by the bagful they get lost by all different kinds of boaters every year. Okay maybe folks on tubes lose a bit more than the average rafter, but who is counting. My personal finds have included a sweet anchor, a pair of Kaenon Sunglasses (in the water maybe a week) and a fresh 4 pack of Double Haul IPA, nice and cool in a deep eddy.
So if you have spent any time on the river, show your love, meet some friends and bring some swim gear, good footwear and the attitude that you can recover more stuff than anyone else. And for all you fishing guides out there, the water is getting too warm mid day to fish anyhow, take a day off and show your respect, and you can brag to your clients about what a good guy you are!
