Rocky Mountaineers Featuring Don Gisselbeck And The Real Ski Season

Don Gisselbeck is a near native Missoulian. He graduated from Hellgate High School and UM. He has been a long time bicycle and ski mechanic, working at the Bike Doctor and The TrailHead. In 2005 he started a quixotic quest to ski at least once every month. Most of the skiing has been in western Montana, in and around Glacier Park, the Bitterroots, Swans, Pintlars and the Rattlesnake, with one expedition to the Kaunertal Glacier in Austria. There have been encounters with challenging frozen water, an avalanche, a grizzly bear, goats and sheep. Most of all, there has been fun in the backcountry.
