Throughout the next few months, we will be featuring hikes in Western Montana on our social media channels and blog to help you plan your next adventure. Our goal is to provide easy, moderate, and challenging hikes with images to help you decide what trail you want to explore next.

Last weekend we took the 4.5-mile roundtrip hike to Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park. Avalanche Lake is an amazing half day adventure the whole family can enjoy. We consider this hike to be moderately challenging with 748 feet of elevation gain. Avalanche Lake via Trail of the Cedars is a heavily trafficked trail that is best used from May to October and located near Lake McDonald.

Stop by The Trail Head and gear up for your next feat on your feet.
