"Mountaineering in Glacier National Park – Peaks, Routes and Challenges" - Presented by Brian Kennedy and Don Arthur from the Glacier Mountaineering Society.

Brian Kennedy is a longtime Glacier Mountaineering Society (GMS) member, having joined in 1982. He is a former board member and continues as editor of the Going To The Sun Journal for GMS. He has summited nearly all of Glaciers named peaks. Brian is known for his extensive news and photo coverage of Glacier Park while he was editor/publisher of the Hungry Horse News from 1978 to 1999. He's received Alpine Awards for climbing Glacier's 10,000-foot peaks and technical peaks and the J. Gordon Edwards award for lifetime achievement.

Don Arthur has been climbing and hiking in Glacier since 1974 and is currently the Membership Chairman of GMS. He has received the Alpine Award for climbing Glacier's 10,000-foot peaks.

The presentation will include narratives and photos of many Glacier Park peaks including the highest and most challenging, along with discussions of Glacier Parks unique alpine terrain.

The meeting will be at 7 PM at the Trailhead, and is free and open to all.
