9th Annual Blackfoot River Challenge- A Benefit for the Missoula Food Bank July 22-23

Kayaks, Canoes and Stand Up Paddle Boarders converge on the Big Blackfoot River outside Missoula, MT for a weekend of fun racing.  All proceeds benefit the Missoula Food Bank as well a food drive, so please bring non-perishable food items to donate.  Cost for the event is $20 for one event and $25 for two or more.  Events include and 11 mile downriver race (Johnsrud Park to Weigh Station FAS).  Sprint races at Roundup Rapid.  Also Slalom races held at Roundup rapid as well.  The downriver and sprint are on Saturday and the Slalom is on Sunday.  The Downriver race is beginner to expert friendly, the sprint and slalom races are a bit more intermediate and beyond friendly, but hey give it a try, the slalom course will(should) be up to play on by Friday July 21.  The Blackfoot River Challenge is a great event for a great cause, come on out and meet some new people and have a good time enjoying the river in Missoula’s only multi-faceted paddling event.  Hope to see you  there.
